Summer is quickly approaching, and the onslaught of family friendly, outdoor fun is cranking into gear. This weekend spend some time outside and explore the Edgefield Craft Show & Flea Market, the Franklin Hot Air Balloon Fest, or Dragon Music Sundays at Fannie Mae Dees Park.
Edgefield Craft Show & Flea Market
Held three times a year, this free craft show and flea market takes place in the historic Edgefield district in East Nashville. The Craft Show and Market will be open from 8am until 3pm on Saturday, May 14, 2016 and will be located at the corner of 7th St. and Fatherland St. (you can use 701 Fatherland St. as a GPS address). Hot Air Balloon Festival
The Franklin Hot Air Balloon Festival will occur this Saturday, May 14 in the Westhaven Community. This family-friendly event will start at 3pm and conclude at 9pm. There will activities for the whole family including craft vendors, live music, food trucks, a Kidzone, and the hot air balloon glow at dusk. Tickets for this event are $15 and can be purchased here.
Dragon Music Sundays
Back for its 9th year, Dragon Music Sundays starts this Sunday, May 15, 2016. This free, family-friendly, concert will be held in Fannie Mae Dees (Dragon) Park located at 2400 Blakemore Ave. Nashville, TN 37212. The concert will start at 4pm and will be opened by the Centennial Jam Band, with the Jimmy Church Band headlining. In addition to the music, there will also be Kidsville activities provided.
