While traffic may be a little heavier this weekend (Hwy 40 will be closed for repairs again this weekend), the changing leaves and cooler weather has put fall in the forefront of everyone's minds. This weekend, get out and enjoy the weather at Boo at the Zoo, Pumpkinfest in Downtown Franklin, or the 39th annual Harvest Days Celebration in Murfreesboro.

What’s Happening Thursday: Fall Festivals and Boo at the Zoo!

While traffic may be a little heavier this weekend (Hwy 40 will be closed for repairs again this weekend), the changing leaves and cooler weather has put fall in the forefront of everyone’s minds. This weekend, get out and enjoy the weather at Boo at the Zoo, Pumpkinfest in Downtown Franklin, or the 39th annual Harvest Days Celebration in Murfreesboro.

1. Boo at the Zoo- Nashville Zoo at Grassmere
This annual Halloween festival at the zoo is happening this weekend, Friday October 23, Saturday October 24 and Sunday October 25. You can also visit on Friday October 29 and Saturday October 30. Boo at the Zoo begins at 5:00 p.m. Tickets are $12 for Zoo members and $15 for non-members. Children under age two are admitted for free. Take your dressed up children to the zoo to experience a treat trail, hay ride, fun fall games, and so much more!

2. Pumpkinfest- Downtown Franklin-
The 32nd Annual Pumpkinfest will be held this Saturday, October 24, from 10a.m.-6 p.m. This free, family friendly event will take over Main Street in downtown Franklin and will feature live music, costumes contests, a chili cook-off, extreme pumpkin carving, arts and crafts vendors, a kid’s zone and much more! Parking will be available around downtown, however, parking and a shuttle service will also be available for visitors at the Church of the City and Harlinsdale Farm for $1 per person. 

3. 39th Annual Harvest Days Celebration– Murfreesboro, TN-
Located in Murfreesboro’s Cannonsburgh Village, the Harvest Days Celebration will take place on Saturday, October 24 from 10a.m.- 4p.m. This is a free, family friendly event that will feature bluegrass music, clogging, pottery demonstration, broom making, crafters, food vendors, an antique auto show and more!

There are plenty of fun, family friendly, fall events happening this weekend- so make sure that you get out and enjoy at least one of them!
