It’s been hovering around 100 degrees all day today – doesn’t exactly scream “back-to-school” weather, but looking at the calendar, all you Nashville / Davidson County parents are getting geared back up for the swiftly approaching school year!

I am hoping to help answer some questions that you might have about getting your kids prepared for going back to school in Nashville

1.  When does school start in Nashville / Davidson County?

Students in Nashville / Davidson County should report to school for a half-day on Thursday, August 12, 2010, then are off Friday, August 13, 2010, with the first FULL day of classes being August 16, 2010 (only a half-day for PK-K).  Here’s a link to the calendar:  http://www.mnps.org/AssetFactory.aspx?did=40058

2.  What about dress code for Nashville / Davidson County?

There IS a dress code for all students in Nashville / Davidson County!  This upcoming weekend (12:01 a.m. Friday, August 6, 2010 through 11:59 p.m. Sunday, August 8, 2010) is tax free weekend in Nashville / Davidson County, so it’s a great time to stock up on clothes and school supplies.  Here are some good stores that will have dress code clothing:
